Recommend a Friend
As a way to say THANKS to our members who share their passion and enthusiasm for the Society, we offer the Recommend-a-Friend program.
It's no surprise how the Scotch Malt Whisky Society has grown to where it is today - 40,000 members in 27 countries around the world: the number one method of growth is word of mouth.
The program is simple: for every new member who signs up on your recommendation or for every gift membership you buy (up to a maximum of six referrals/gift memberships per membership year), you'll receive a one-time $20.00 discount off the cost of your next $120.00 renewal fee. But as with most things in life there's some fine print involved, so have a read of the details and then raise a glass to good friends and good drams:
- A maximum of six new member referrals and/or new member gift memberships for SMWS Canada will be recognized in each year (referrals by Canadian members into other international branches cannot be recognized). Only one referrer per new member can be recognized. Program does not apply to gifting an existing member's annual renewal dues.
- If signing up by phone with one of our exclusive retail partners, please ask the store to record the referring member's name (otherwise it's very difficult for us to track and honour the referral discount).
- When your renewal comes due you will receive a notice advising the amount owing.
