There were lovely aspects of sweetness on the nose neat, with empire biscuits, glaze cherries, golden syrup and beeswax but at the same time there was a fresh caprese salad with balsamic reduction. On the palate we had a refreshing sweet and fruity golden summer peach gazpacho served with well-buttered crusty bread.
After reduction notice the thick oily legs on the inside of the glass as we added a big dollop of crème fraiche to our gazpacho with the mouthfeel now wonderfully oily and an enhanced sweetness that reminded us of floral honey, peanut brittle and chocolate cinnamon tuile.
